Frequently asked

Common questions Malaysian SME owners ask before signing.

What is AutoCount and which businesses run it?
AutoCount is the most widely used on-premise and cloud accounting platform among Malaysian SMEs, with thousands of businesses across retail, F&B, trading, services, light manufacturing and professional services running it daily. The suite covers accounting, point-of-sale, payroll, mobile sales, loyalty and LHDN e-Invoice. Daxonet is an authorised AutoCount dealer with 10+ years on the platform.
Which AutoCount module should I start with for my SME?
It depends on your business model. Most retail and F&B SMEs start with AutoCount Accounting plus AutoCount POS, then add e-Invoice On-Prem for MyInvois compliance. Trading and services SMEs typically start with AutoCount Accounting plus the e-Invoice add-on. Multi-branch SMEs that need shared books across outlets start with AutoCount Cloud Accounting instead. Daxonet runs a free 30-minute consult to map the right module mix to your business.
Do I need both on-premise and cloud AutoCount?
Most SMEs pick one or the other, not both. On-premise AutoCount runs on your shop or office PC with a one-time licence and works fully offline. Cloud AutoCount runs in the browser with a monthly subscription and is best for multi-branch SMEs sharing books in real time. Daxonet implements both and will recommend the deployment that fits your operations and budget. There is no upsell incentive either way.
Is AutoCount LHDN MyInvois e-Invoice ready?
Yes. AutoCount has a native e-Invoice on-premise add-on that integrates with the LHDN MyInvois portal directly from your AutoCount Accounting installation. Standard, credit, debit, self-billed and consolidated e-Invoice flows are configured during setup. As of 2026 Phase 4 is live for all Malaysian businesses, so this is no longer optional. Daxonet handles the full setup including TIN registration, sandbox testing and go-live cutover.
Can Daxonet migrate us from legacy accounting software or Excel?
Yes. Daxonet runs migrations from legacy accounting software, manual Excel books and older AutoCount versions as a structured data conversion. Chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, opening balances and historical transactions are migrated with reconciliation back to the source before go-live. Migration timeline is typically 2 to 4 weeks for a single-entity SME.
How long does an AutoCount implementation take?
For a typical Malaysian SME on AutoCount Accounting plus e-Invoice, full implementation runs 2 to 4 weeks. Adding AutoCount POS or AutoCount HRMS at the same time adds about one week each. Discovery and chart-of-accounts design takes 3 to 5 days. Installation and migration takes 1 to 2 weeks. Training takes 2 to 3 days. Go-live and the first month of WhatsApp support is included.
What support does Daxonet provide after go-live?
Daxonet provides phone, WhatsApp and on-site support across Klang Valley, Penang and Johor, in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin. Most SME owners use WhatsApp because it is faster than email and our team replies during business hours. We also handle annual statutory updates such as SST changes, MyInvois updates, and EPF and SOCSO rate changes so your AutoCount stays compliant without you tracking the changes yourself.
What makes AutoCount stand out for Malaysian SMEs?
AutoCount has the deepest LHDN MyInvois integration in the Malaysian market, one of the largest installed bases among Malaysian accounting platforms, and a full module suite covering POS, payroll, mobile sales and loyalty on the same database. Daxonet is an authorised AutoCount dealer with 10+ years on the platform and will give you an honest assessment of fit for your business, including migration from other accounting platforms when needed.
